The Idaho State Council of SHRM and Idaho law firm, Moffatt Thomas, present the premier biennial Idaho Employment Law event: 2016 Idaho Employment Law Conference.

Pre-Conference learning event on Thursday, September 29, 2016 begins at 3:00 p.m. and features a 90-minute talk by Andy Fujimoto of Ameriben/IEC Group on talent acquisition and management as lead indicators in measuring a company’s financial performance and customer and public relations.

Friday, September 30, 2016 will include a full day conference with nationally-known keynote speakers and six breakout sessions. The featured keynote speaker is Cynthia Cooper, WorldCom Whistleblower and Ethics Consultant.  Ms. Cooper will share her personal experiences at WorldCom as well as critical ethics and governance lessons from some of the largest corporate scandals.

Attendees will be able to choose from six educational breakout educational sessions which feature five presentations by Moffatt Thomas attorneys and one from the Seattle office of the EEOC and the office of the Idaho Human Rights Commission.  The EEOC and IHRC breakout session is a continuation of the noon panel discussion. Moffatt Thomas presentations include (1) “The New Workforce – Fitting New Workplace Realities Under the Existing Legal Umbrella,” presented by Clay Gill, Jamie Moon and Sarah McCormack, (2) “Going Green – Marijuana in the Workplace,” by Benjamin Ritchie, (3) “Idaho Updates:  Trade Secrets, Non-Compete Agreements and More!” by Cynthia Melillo and Andrea Rosholt, (4) Workplace Wellness Programs – Healthy for Idaho Employers,” by Patricia Olsson, and (5) Workers Compensation – What Employers Should Know….a view from your claims examiner and attorney on defending claims and minimizing exposure,” by Mark Peterson, Moffatt Thomas, and Holly Alderman, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc.

Attendees of both the preconference event and the full-day conference can earn up to 7.5 Professional Development Credits.
