Practice Profile

Moffatt Thomas attorneys defend numerous employers and sureties at all stages of worker’s compensation matters, including at hearings and mediations before the Idaho Industrial Commission and in appellate matters before the Supreme Court of Idaho.  This experience includes representing some of the world’s largest employers and insurance companies to the smallest of employers located exclusively in Idaho.   In addition to representing its clients in litigated matters, Moffatt Thomas attorneys also have experience representing employers and sureties in compliance matters before the Idaho Industrial Commission.

Moffatt Thomas has offices in Boise, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls to offer a more local and efficient handling of worker’s compensation matters throughout Idaho.  Mark Peterson leads the worker’s compensation practice group from the Boise office and has been a member of the practice group since 2002.  David Gardner leads the worker’s compensation practice group out of the Pocatello office and has been a member of the group since 2000.  Attorneys Mark Peterson, Jamie Moon and Mindy Willman in the Boise office, David Gardner and Jetta Mathews in the Pocatello office, and Ben Ritchie in the Idaho Falls office bring considerable experience and depth to the worker’s compensation practice group.  The firm is also assisted by a talented support staff with extensive experience in worker’s compensation matters, several of whom are certified as a Certified Idaho Worker’s Compensation Specialist (CIWCS) by the Idaho Industrial Commission.
