Moffatt Thomas Attorney Jamie K. Moon Presents to the International Law Section of the Idaho State Bar, “Recognizing Foreign Judgments in Idaho”
Moffatt Thomas attorneys Jamie K. Moon and Jerry T. Stenquist present “Recognizing Foreign Judgments in Idaho” at the International Law Section Business Meeting of the Idaho State Bar. The meeting will be held on February 3, 2017, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the Idaho State Bar Law Center, located at 525 W. Jefferson Street in Boise, Idaho.
The International Law Section of the Idaho State Bar encourages educational growth, training opportunities, and networking prospects for attorneys who practice within the area of International Law. Their mission is to provide valuable information that will improve the knowledge and skill base of Idaho attorneys practicing within the field. Section members are encouraged to participate in monthly meetings that feature training seminars in Continuing Legal Education. February’s International Law Section Business Meeting features a CLE seminar presented by Moffatt Thomas attorneys Jamie K. Moon and Jerry T. Stenquist. Section members can attend the half hour CLE presentation in person or via telephonic conference.
Jamie K. Moon is an attorney in the Boise office of the law firm Moffatt Thomas. Ms. Moon currently serves as an At Large Council Member on the Governing Council of the International Law Section of the Idaho State Bar. Ms. Moon focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation for employers, commercial litigation and employment law. She is a member of Idaho Women Lawyers and the Human Resources Association of Treasure Valley. Ms. Moon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis and Clark College, and she earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. While attending law school, Ms. Moon was Editor-in-Chief of Willamette Law Online, as well as the Source and Cite Editor of the Environmental Law Journal.
Jerry Stenquist currently holds the office of Vice Chairperson on the Governing Council of the International Law Section of the Idaho State Bar. Mr. Stenquist has a broad practice that includes banking and creditor’s rights, commercial litigation, property law, health law and professional malpractice. Mr. Stenquist serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. He has a vast array of experience in congressional internships, student leadership, and leading domestic and international volunteer groups. Mr. Stenquist graduated from George Washington University Law School and earned his undergraduate degree at Utah Valley University. He is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Montana and Utah.
