Moffatt Thomas attorney Jamie K. Moon presented “I‑9 and W-4 Fraud: Employer’s Best Practices” to the Mountain States Payroll Professionals at Scentsy Headquarters on June 8, 2017. The presentation covered a comprehensive look into employer responsibilities related to invalid W4’s and I‑9’s, and necessary measures employers must take to prevent being penalized for fraudulent and prudent practices related to W‑4 and I‑9 tax forms. The event was attended by representatives from some of the most distinguished businesses across the Treasure Valley, including Boise State University, Idaho Power, Northwest Nazarene University, Norco, Petra, Scentsy, and US Ecology.
Mountain States Payroll Professionals is an official chapter of the American Payroll Association that services payroll, human resources, benefits, and finance professionals in the greater Treasure Valley area.

Jamie K. Moon is an associate attorney in the Boise office of the Idaho law firm Moffatt Thomas. Ms. Moon focuses her practice in the area of workers’ compensation for employers, commercial litigation, and employment law. Ms. Moon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis and Clark College, and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon.
