Professional Profile
Leni Patton works with our litigation practice group, focusing in the area of litigation at both the trial and appellate level, with a primary emphasis on construction defect litigation, personal injury, securities, environmental issues, employment litigation, lender liability, and insurance defense. She also handles cases in the areas of coverage disputes, medical malpractice, and automobile accidents. Her responsibilities include preparation of discovery requests, drafting pleadings and discovery responses, deposition preparation, research, document review, trial preparation and attendance, as well as document control, organization, review and analysis. She is experienced in utilizing TimeMap, Concordance, Summation, IPRO, and Sanction for case management.
Prior to joining Moffatt Thomas in 1998, Ms. Patton was a paralegal in the Los Angeles office of Sidley & Austin, where her work focused on product liability issues which entailed management of large document productions. She assisted attorneys defending automobile manufacturers in crashworthiness cases involving alleged rollovers, instability, interior space design, and restraint system defects.
