Professional Profile
Tiffiny Hudak joined Moffatt Thomas in 2003. She has worked as a paralegal since 1992 in California and Idaho. Ms. Hudak regularly attends continuing legal education (CLE) seminars pertaining to a variety of topics including litigation document control and management for complex discovery, eDiscovery, computer assisted legal research, and quarterly eDiscovery case law updates.
 
Ms. Hudak has extensive experience involving natural resources litigation, commercial litigation, products liability, and general complex litigation. She also has extensive case management experience in both federal and state courts from the initial filing through discovery, trial, post-trial motions and appeal. 
 
Ms. Hudaks litigation responsibilities include drafting pleadings, briefs, memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents; performing legal and legislative history research; performing factual research, including water rights, asset, statistical, and documentary research; conducting investigations, including locating and interviewing witnesses; propounding and responding to discovery; identifying and collecting documents, including electronically stored information (“ESI”); complex analysis of data collections, including analyzing documents for privilege and relevance; managing voluminous hard-copy and ESI document collections via database management software (one million-plus images in one case); creating and maintaining complex discovery and privilege logs; and assisting counsel with preparation for and attendance at depositions, hearings, and trial.
 
On behalf of the firm’s irrigation district clients, Ms. Hudak also actively participates in and serves as the primary contact for all development contracts concerning most construction work involving such clients’ irrigation canals, laterals, and drainage ditches. Such work includes meeting with project developers, design engineers and construction project managers; reviewing engineering plans; and drafting and/or reviewing development contracts.
 
Ms. Hudak is proficient in Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Summation, Sanction, TimeMatters, CarpeDiem, Westlaw, LexisNexis, the World Wide Web, and other various software programs.
