Professional Profile
Mr. Hillen represents a wide variety of clients in state and federal court involving complex lending, contract, and business disputes. He has over ten years of experience in the field of bankruptcy. He has experience representing bankruptcy trustees, commercial lenders, leasing companies, banks and other financial institutions in bankruptcy and credit transactions. He has also represented clients in bankruptcy preference and avoidance actions. Mr. Hillen’s commercial litigation practice involves the defense of claims involving the Uniform Commercial Code and real estate litigation. He also has handled issues in agricultural lending involving loan workouts and lien priority.
My. Hillen serves as an Assistant Coach to the University of Idaho Bankruptcy Moot Court team. In 2008 Mr. Hillen was appointed to serve on the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Idaho Law Foundation, and he volunteers with the Idaho State Bar.
After finishing law school, Mr. Hillen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel D. Horton at the Idaho Supreme Court. He also practiced with a well-established Boise law firm prior to joining Moffatt Thomas.
